That is... Until an abnormally intelligent Tyrannosaurus-Rex hatched a plan... The dinosaurs fled the surface of the Earth with the aid of the Winged Ones and continued skyward in their quest for refuge.

The dinosaurs caught glimpse of the only radiant light left filtering through the clouds. The glow reminded them of hope, and they pressed forward into the beckoning heavens.

The dinosaurs' retinas contracted from the light flooding their vision as they emerged into the stratosphere. The volcanic ash had built clouds thick enough to support the weight of even the brachiosauruses. The dinosaurs resided on the ash cloud for over sixty five million years, drinking the water from the cloud vapor and commanding unfortunate birds to deliver food from the Earth's surface.
